Wine Beer and Spirits Adventure.

This is a fun and social tour with multiple small groups and couples on a 13 seat minibus with an itinerary pre-booked by Tastes of the Hunter.

The advantage of the Hunter Valley Wine and Beer Adventure Tour is it is economical and it is a "ready to go" tour where everything is organised for you and you get a snapshot of most of what the Hunter is known for (wine, craft beer, spirits).

This tour is NOT customisable and venue requests will not be accommodated. 

If you have 11 or more guests you can do this tour as a private tour ie: only your group on the bus. Contact us for more information.

WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED

• The cost of lunch (meals from $30 to $40) 

• Beer tasting (beer enthusiasts may purchase a beer tasting at 4 Pines for $20pp or pay an additional $5 at Hunter Wine Lab and swap their wine tasting for a beer tasting.

Winery Cellar Doors

The cellar doors that we usually visit include Hunter Wine Lab, Saltire Estate, Ernest Hill wines, Pokolbin Estate, Emma's Cottage, Tatler wines, McCaffrey's Estate, Tintilla Estate, Allandale wines, Gartelmann wines, Ridgeview Wines, St. Clair Wines, Joey’s Lane, Blueberry Hill, Oakvale wines and Harkham wines.

Distilleries 

• Small Mouth Vodka (flavoured spirits with shimmering edible glitter) 

• Hunter Distillery (vodka/schnapps tasting) 

• Kiss of Fire Liqueurs (flavoured butterscotches and spirits)

Lunch Venues

We always stick to lunch venues where the majority of the meals are available for around $30-$40pp.

You can purchase craft beer tasting paddles, cocktails or wine by the glass at either venue.

No gluten free / dairy free or vegan options are available at the cheese and choc tasting. 

As you can see there are lots of great options there and we mix and match the 3 we pick from this list so every tour is slightly different. We aim for a mix of boutique and mid-sized cellar doors and try to support locally owned and operated venues rather than the large corporates that you can see in bottle shops. 

APPROXIMATE TIMELINE

- 10am - wine tasting

- 11:15am - wine tasting

- 1:30pm - lunch

- 2:45pm - wine tasting 

- 3pm - distillery tasting

- 4pm - cheese/chocolate tasting

- 4:30pm drop offs commence 

WHAT TIME IS PICKUP AND DROP OFF?

Hunter Valley pickups occur between 8.30am and 9.45am and are based on distance from Pokolbin (ie. we start with outer locations and work our way inwards to Pokolbin with most Pokolbin/Rothbury/Lovedale/Cessnock pickups between 9.15am and 9.45am).

For all zones that incur charges, ONLY PAY ONCE regardless of how many people are in your group. 

Zone #1 - FREE

Free pickup from Pokolbin, Nulkaba, Bellbird, Cessnock, Rothbury, and Lovedale. 

Zone #2 - $44

Millfield, Bellbird, Greta Main, Aberdare, Kearsley, Kitchener, Mount View. 

Zone #3 - $66

Weston, Kurri Kurri, Neath, Abermain, Heddon Greta, Cliftleigh.

Zone #4 - $110 

Maitland, Newcastle & Lake Macquarie (Eastern side only ie: Charlestown, Warners Bay, Belmont etc) 

NO GO ZONES

Broke and Wollombi 

We put together a pickup schedule based on the groups booked in for the day and your exact pickup time will be emailed to you by the Thursday before the tour date (with your driver information, the exact venues you'll be visiting etc.)

Our booking system will update the numbers in real time so you can see exactly how many seats are still available.

CANCELLATION POLICY

No refunds under 14 days prior to the tour date. 

Booking fees and credit card processing fees are not refundable.
